meaning.
everyone wants to have it. wants to know what it is.
for themselves. for their life.
and if they fail, they’ll try to figure out the meaning of your life, if you let them.
this is just one man’s attempt at being real.
too existential? too ill-fitting of a title to wear? this is reality. the meaning is what it is.
yes, it’s very late at night, and we should be sleeping.
ok, seriously. it’s like this.
søren kierkegaard said:
The expression, “Truth is naked,” may also be interpreted in this way: truly relating to truth means that all the inner and the outer garments of illusion have to be discarded.
simply put, there is truth in being real. praying naked is being real. there is no more tragic thing in life than to let pass by the opportunity to live it to the full; praying naked is about living a life of transparency, honesty and integrity with those around you.
kierkegaard again:
Let us be honest about it. We are more afraid of the truth than of death.
praying naked means opening up to the scrutiny of others’ paradigms, and show oneself to be truly vulnerable. it is the journey that matters, not the destination: praying naked is about experiencing life, the journey, for its own sake.
one more:
In order to swim you must take off all your clothes. In order to aspire to the truth you must undress in a far more inward sense, divest yourself o all your inward clothes, of thoughts, conceptions, selfishness. Only then are you sufficiently naked.
someone once said get busy living, or get busy dying. I think he was on to something.
pray naked at your own risk.
